VESTIBULAR REHAB

Our inner ear may be tiny, but it has a huge responsibility- balance! Otherwise known as your vestibular system, it has nerves to sense acceleration, deceleration, and rotations of your head. When there is a problem with this system, you may experience dizziness, vertigo, and loss of balance. There can be many causes of dizziness, including head injury, infection, or a central neurological condition such as stroke or MS.

To determine what may be the cause of your dizziness, we will perform a variety of specialized tests, and may use goggles to assess your eye movements- this gives us clues into how your vestibular system is working. From there, we will form a diagnosis and create a treatment plan to match your personal goals.

In some cases, we can treat your dizziness in a matter of minutes; in others, treatment may take longer and involve a home exercise program. Come in for an assessment to see how we can work together to solve your dizziness for good!
