Juliet Grundmanis, BHK, MPT
Physiotherapist and Founder

Physio

Juliet is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics in 2008 and a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2010. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, she spent over 15 years in Vancouver and abroad before deciding to return to her roots, and could not be more excited to be offering specialized neurological care to the Island community.

She has worked in acute care on both the neuro and spine units at Vancouver General Hospital, spent many years on the rehab units at GF Strong, worked in Australia and taught in India, and has worked at several private neuro-focused clinics before taking over Royston Seaside Therapy from reknowned physiotherapist Robert Johnston, and re-branding as Solid Ground NeuroPhysio.

Her post-grad training includes Bobath and NDT courses, concussion management, motivational interviewing, chronic pain, and advanced vestibular rehabilitation. She is also certified to practice acupuncture and finds this to be a helpful adjunct to healing from neurological injury, along with hands-on therapy, education, and a whole lot of movement!

Juliet is a strong believer in treating the ‘whole person’ and has a special interest in helping to address the anxiety, depression and trauma that often accompany a neurological event.
Other areas of interest for Juliet include stroke, chronic concussion and TBI, spinal cord injury, MS, Parkinson’s Disease, cerebral palsy, headache/migraine management, and treating clients with dizziness and vertigo.

Outside of the clinic, Juliet can be found exploring the mountains on her feet, bike, or skis, paddleboarding, and looking for any type 2 fun she can find! Her newest adventure (besides business ownership) is training Mr. Wilson to be the perfect therapy dog.
